One of the main characteristics of barefoot shoes is a thin flexible sole. Below we explain why it is so important 👇
Inflexible shoes limit natural movements
Our feet contain a large number of muscles, ligaments, and tendons. In order for them all to function properly, the foot must be able to bend in different places when moving. But this is impossible if the sole of the shoe does not bend or does not bend enough. In this case, some muscles and ligaments do not work at all. Others, on the contrary, take on excess stress (and then at the end of the day we wonder why our legs "fall off").
If our feet are created flexible, our shoes should be the same.
A thick sole does not allow the body to receive a proper feeling from the surface.
Nature "gave" the feet many nerve endings for a reason. Thanks to them, we "feel" the terrain under our feet. As soon as an obstacle in the form of a thick sole appears between our soles and the surface, the connection with the ground is lost, a person feels worse in space: balance is disturbed, the risk of falls and injuries increases.
Do you know situations when you "stumble on level ground"? Yes, this is exactly about the fact that our feet incorrectly "feel" the surface on which they move. And the body, accordingly, reacted incorrectly.
And a thick sole also deprives the foot of flexibility and cushioning, forcing it to land incorrectly. Because of this, the load on the knees and back increases 😕
Well, flexible shoes with thin soles have another (our favorite🤗) "bonus" - a pleasant foot massage even during a regular walk ☺️
You hear some often state: "How can you walk in shoes with thin soles on stones or uneven surfaces? How can you walk in the forest? Your feet will feel uncomfortable!"
In the meantime, our regular customers enjoy every step 😃🤩👣
