BAREFOOT SHOES + SOCKS = ???

Sometimes we are asked: "Should barefoot shoes be worn on bare feet? Can they be paired with socks?"

Of course! Wear them as you wish. And it's cold in winter without socks 🫣 However, we recommend to consider the following 👇

There is no particular point in switching to barefoot shoes if socks or nylons will squeeze your toes and prevent them from moving. Well, there is a point, but the result of barefoot shoes use will be greatly lost. ☝️

Additionally, we do not recommend trying on barefoot shoes with a "traditional" sock - there is too much risk of getting the size wrong. Because even when we put on a super comfortable (it would seem) cotton sock, it still gathers the toes together and reduces the length and width of the foot.

In addition, we often buy socks exactly according to size, after washing they shrink and there is even less space. But, as always, there is a very simple solution 😁

Observe the photo above ☝️

On the right is a foot in a regular sock. On the left - imagine, also in a sock, but "barefoot". Yes, yes, there are special socks that also meet all the principles of "barefoot" and perfectly complement barefoot shoes. Luckily, you can shop barefoot socks at our online shop and in store.

There varieties of the "barefoot socks":

🧦Barefoot socks with a spacious toe part - there is enough space for each toe, soft fixation, nothing presses anywhere.

🧦 Tabi - they have a wide toe box + a separate "case" for the big toe.

🧦 "Fingers socks" are like gloves for your feet, each finger lives in its own separate "house".

If you decide to stick with "regular" socks, make sure that they are as long as your foot (without stretching!). And they don't take up much space in your shoes.

By the way, have you already tried any of the "barefoot" accessories? Or would you like to learn more about some? We'll be happy to chat in the comments 🤗
