Flat sole? Well, goodbye, back!
⬆️We sometimes hear such comments about barefoot shoes. There is an opinion that our foot needs at least a small heel.
In fact, this is not true. Nature created us as complex, perfect mechanisms. And if there was a need for an elevation under the heel, it would have taken care of that too, right? But we were "gifted" with a foot with its natural curves. It is thanks to this natural shape that we can keep the center of gravity over the heels (this is the most stable and safe position for our body).
But as soon as we stand on a heel, even the smallest one, we tilt our body forward and transfer the weight to our toes. The body tries to adjust and restore balance. To do this, it tenses up where it shouldn't, changes posture, and as a result, a whole chain of changes is launched in the body:
▪️ the deflection in the lower back increases (and then we wonder why it hurts);
▪️ some muscles are constantly overloaded, while others, on the contrary, "switch off" and weaken;
▪️ blood circulation in the legs is disrupted (say "hello" to heaviness, "buzzing", varicose veins);
▪️ the mobility of the ankle joint is limited - the risk of injury increases.
But a small elevation helps the foot to absorb shock, right?
❗️A healthy foot does not need such "help". Trust us, if you don't interfere with it, the foot will cope on its own - nature has taken care of us here as well ☺️
